We are Mark & Jo Pogson. We are dog lovers and like nothing more than being surrounded by furry friends. We live in Plymouth with our 4 dogs (pictured above). They are, from left to right, Buster, 16; Molly, 12; Jimmy, 2; and Missy, 15.
We both love the outdoors and really enjoy taking Jimmy for walks along the coast, upon Dartmoor, and about Plymouth’s green spaces. Buster, Molly, and Missy are no longer able to go on long walks, so they have a plod around the local field and then go back to bed!
Jo has worked for the Veterinary Hospital Group for 15 years. Her passion for dogs - for all animals - is such that she is held in high regard and warm affection by the countless clients she has assisted over those many years. Jo has taken puppy classes for 5 years. She teaches socialisation, basic first aid, basic training, handling, and grooming. Jo also takes pre-puppy classes, offering advice for anyone who is getting or thinking about getting a puppy.
Because of his love for both the outdoors and for dogs, Mark, a former Royal Marines Commando and, more recently, HGV driver, has decided to devote himself fully to Walk Wag Woof.
We are insured through Petplan Sanctuary, DBS checked, licensed through Plymouth City Council and are both qualified dog first aiders. In addition, Jo has completed Sarah Whitehead’s Canine Body Language and Facial Expression programme. (The licence and certificates can be viewed in our gallery.)
